As a scientist and an artist, for Mary-Jane the idea of combining science, technology, engineering arts and mathematics (STEAM) as a movement for transforming education and business is a natural way of viewing the world.

Underpinning the linkage of all these disciplines is an experimental, practical and creative way of thinking and exploring problems and ideas that opens up new solutions.

Mary-Jane is now on the Audience and Engagement Committee of the Geelong Art Gallery where she is also a STEAM advisor, enriching exhibitions by bringing science and art together.
